For more than a decade, Celebrity Make-up Artist and Beauty Expert Carie Brescia has been making fabulous faces look flawless. Not only does Carie make-up the faces of numerous television personalities, but she is also a personality herself, using her skincare and beauty knowledge as a spokesperson for Olay, Covergirl and DDF Skincare. She has just signed on to represent Maybelline New York in their Fall 2010 Color Studio Tour. Carie appears in regular segments on Philadelphia’s only Lifestyle and Entertainment Show, The 10! Show on NBC as well as on Good Day Philadelphia on Fox and featured beauty segments on ABC and Comcast. She recently became a blogger for Phillymag.com's "The Goods" and her Beauty Tips have been featured in Daily Candy, Philadelphia Style Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Mainline Magazine and Philly.com. This summer Carie and her team of Makeup Artists created the runway looks for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency when they celebrated the launch of their Philadelphia office.
Originally from New York City, Carie loves working in both Philadelphia, and her hometown. She is the Resident Make-up Artist for NBC 10 in Philadelphia, and this summer worked for The Food Network's #1 Show "Diners, Drive-In's and Dives" with Guy Fieri. For the past three years Carie has appeared as a Beauty Camp Counselor with Brooke Shields for Tupperware's "Chain of Confidence," an organization designed to celebrate women. Carie has a knack for making her clients feel comfortable, and bringing out the best in everyone that sits in her chair. From working moms to famous faces (Pamela Anderson, Taylor Swift, Conan O'Brien, Dennis Quaid, and Jane English, to name a few), Carie's goal is to "get 'em gorgeous!"
Carie's love for Make-up has been life-long, but she officially began her career with Bobbi Brown. She worked as a member of the Bobbi Brown team, and then as a National and International Make-up Artist and Trainer for Trish McEvoy.
From 'glamming it up' for a night on the town, to perfecting the 'natural look' for a bride to be, Carie says there is a perfect look for everyone, and she loves the challenge of creating it! Carie also feels strongly about giving back to the community. She shares her time and talent with several charitable organizations, including: Jefferson Hospital's Women's Board, The Susan G. Komen Pink Tie Ball, and creates the makeup for the Career Wardrobe Annual Fundraiser/ Fashion Show.
Drawing upon years of experience Carie has earned industry credibility, the respect of her colleagues, and the admiration of her clients. In doing so, she has established a new standard in beauty.
